Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete competing for in the UFC at the flyweight division, is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia has started her professional journey in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships were also held in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shevchenko made her first professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious with a TKO at the end of round 2. Her two subsequent matches were held during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko had a brief absence from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera with knees. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she also defeated Ariane. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
